Twin Stripe Visits: Asrai Garden, Chicago

We were very fortunate to have relatively good weather while in Chicago. There were some spring rain showers, but somehow we managed to avoid the torrential downpours except for one occasion. After finishing up a photo shoot Wicker Park, we quickly ducked into a store to avoid getting soaked. How lucky we were to stumble upon Asrai Garden.

In addition to being a floral shop specializing in weddings and events, they sell beautiful handmade goods. As a recently self-proclaimed plant lady and a home décor nerd, I was in heaven.

terrariums and skulls

I was overwhelmed by the number of gorgeous things in one place, from fresh cut flowers and terrariums to stuffed glitter seahorses and handmade paper goods. I absolutely fell in love with a few unique porcelain animal skulls by Beetle and Flor.

If you’re in Chicago, please stop by Asrai Garden, you will not be disappointed.

As a special treat, we brought back a gift for one lucky reader. We could not leave the shop without purchasing this adorable moss terrarium. To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment below. To qualify for an extra entry, tweet about the giveaway and leave another comment with the link to your tweet.  The giveaway will end next Friday, April 6th and the winner will be announced on Monday.

Note: This giveaway is a thank you to our readers. Asrai Gardens did not sponsor or provide the terrarium, we just think they’re awesome.

  1. Yay Twin Stripe! I’ve been to Asrai Garden several times–so cute! Congrats on all of your hard work, Katie & Alison. Can’t wait to see what you two think of next 🙂

  2. Loving the blog. I’m a total home decor and garden nerd as well so we’re both members in a mutual admiration society! Love the terrariums! I’ve done some with sand and cactus before but I love the warm feeling of the moss. Keep doing what you do Twin Stripe! I’m inspired by the beautiful things you do!

  3. I don’t know how you two do it all! You’re fabulous.

(I just thought I’d throw in some markup to prove that I could.)

What do you think? Katie loves to hear from you!
