In November, Chad and I finally decided on the perfect color scheme for our office. I really wanted to paint a room pale pink, like Alison had highlighted in one of her color trend posts. Chad was reluctant at first, but I think we came up with the perfect compromise. We painted the opposite wall, the one his desk faces, with black chalkboard paint. The rest of the office is painted with a perfect pale pink, Behr Pixie Dust. We are still putting the office together, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek of my new gallery wall.
I received a few great prints for Christmas, so I finally had enough art to hang above my desk. Chad got me the adorable Jack Russell terrier print by Josh Brill. I’m turning into a dog lady now too! I wanted to add something other than framed prints to the wall and I thought the gold antlers from Design Archives in Greensboro would be the perfect touch. My parents picked out the neon pink ampersand from the ladies at Ampersand Design Studio. I love the bright and colorful work Carrie and Morgan are doing.
The bottom row still needs a few more pieces on the left, but it is better than a blank wall. I love my fashion print from Sandra Suy, sadly, it looks as though her Etsy shop is closed. I think this beautiful print from Katie Rodger’s would be an excellent substitute. My elephant print by Marc Johns is a favorite. Below the striped elephant it reads, “Better with stripes.” Of course I would have to agree!
