It’s now been over a week since we graduated! In addition to job hunting and interviews, we’ve taken a moment to relax and enjoy the holiday weekend. We joined the rest of America in celebrating our veterans by going to the beach and grilling out. Check out what we were up to this weekend.
Alison’s WeekendI headed to Wilmington this weekend to spend some time with family and friends. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to spend warm nights at the Carolina Yacht Club, relaxing and having a cocktail by the ocean. Friday kicked off opening weekend, so my parents and I stopped by Wilmington’s new Whole Foods for some cheese and wine to enjoy. (If the scenery looks familiar, it’s because we shot the Happy Birthday Dude feature there!) I also spent some time with friends at my other favorite beach, Topsail Island. Needless to say, I’m a bit tired and definitely burnt. Today we’re celebrating handsome Nash dog’s 4th birthday. The time does fly!
Katie’s weekendThis long weekend Chad and I had a friend, Martin, visit all the way from L.A. We spent the weekend exploring North Carolina and enjoying wonderful, fresh food. We had a great time at our first Durham Bull’s game, complete with fireworks to celebrate Memorial Day. We visited the Piedmont Triad Farmer’s Market and picked up food for the weekend. Chad and I love to shop local whenever we can and supporting local farmers is a great way to do that. We grilled fresh veggies and meat on kabobs for a delicious dinner. For dessert we enjoyed juicy grilled peaches with scoop of vanilla ice cream. Heaven!
Enjoy Memorial Day!
