Everyone has the ability to be creative, but the world is so fast paced, that you might feel the creativity has been sucked out of you. Today I’m offering some ideas to cultivate your creativity on a daily basis.
Journaling | Opening a notebook to blank page and writing down your thoughts and ideas is a great way to cultivate creativity. Pick a favorite place in your home, get comfortable just start to write. If you get stuck, Katie Dalebout has a wonderful book, Let It Out: A Journey Through Journaling, that is filled with prompts to get you started. I also find having a beautiful place to write your thoughts, like this lovely flower notebook, makes journaling even better.
Coloring | If journaling isn’t your thing, then try a new adult coloring book. It’s so easy to get lost in in one an intricate design for hours and is a great stress reliever. There is a coloring book for everyone – Fantastic Cities to Flowers Coloring Book and even a Tattoo Coloring Book!
Flower Arranging | I’m also a huge fan of flower arranging. I love the challenge of styling a bouquet of fresh buds and making them look beautiful. ProFlowers and All Across Africa recently introduced an exclusive collection of colorful, woven, handmade vases that are uniquely crafted by artisans in Rwanda. The combination of one of these beautiful vases and fresh flowers are sure to inspire anyone’s creativity. If are a flower arranging newbie, here are some great tips to get you started.
What inspires your creativity?
Whether you choose to journal, color, arrange flowers or develop your own routine, taking time to cultivate creativity will help you brainstorm new ideas and reduce stress. Let’s get creative!
