Each holiday season I get together with my four best girlfriends from college to celebrate “SLAPR Christmas“. (SLAPR is an acronym of our last names we created in college.) This weekend I am heading to Chicago to celebrate with these lovely ladies. I cannot wait to spend quality time with them over good food, drink and of course, lots of laughs.
We typically do a secret Santa gift exchange, but this year we decided to forgo gifts and instead, my friends graciously offered to help pay for my airline ticket to Chicago. I didn’t want to show up empty handed on SLAPR Christmas, so I selected my favorite photos and created a mini DIY Instagram clipboard calendar for each of them. You can use your favorite photos and make your own DIY Instagram calendar.
- Mini 6×9 clipboards
- 2016 calendar download (355 downloads)
- X-Acto knife (or scissors)
- Cutting matt
- 4×4 photos (Walgreens now offers square prints right from Instagram!)
- Double sided tape
Once you have all of your supplies assembled, cut down your calendar pages to 5×7 using an X-Acto, rule and cutting mat. (If you are feeling brave, you can also use scissors.)
Next, use double sided tape to secure your 4×4 photos into the space about the calendar. When you have all 12 months complete, clip them to the board and your calendar is ready to go!
This calendar is so versatile – you can hang it on a wall or corkboard or prop it up on your desk. Plus, having a different photo each month will bring back so many memories!
