I’m a hug fan of mason jars because they are so versatile. I use them for everything – vases, smoothies, craft supplies, food storage and more. When I was at Haven Conference in July, I had the opportunity to build my own mason jar tote with a little help from the Ryobi AirStrike nail gun. (I’m not going to lie, the AirStrike is on my wish list!) My tote remained unfinished until I recently decided to fill it with fall treats.
If you want to make your own tote, download the mason jar tote instructions. Once you have built your tote, you can paint or decorate it as you choose. I decided to keep mine simple and just paint it white so I can use it throughout the year.
I stocked the tote with mason jars filled with some of my favorite fall goodies – gluten free pumpkin pancake mix, candy corn and M&Ms, and pumpkin spice granola. The options are endless when it comes to filling the mason jars. You could fill them with Halloween candy, breakfast items (just sub the fall treats for coffee) or party snacks to name a few.
To keep the jars festive, I painted the lids orange and created labels for each jar. I also put together a small bunch of leaves and flowers to attach to the tote. It was the perfect little detail.
