Fall High Point Market Trends

As a walked around numerous furniture showrooms at High Point Market, I took note of some of the trends I saw. Below are a few of my favorites.

High Point Market Fall Trends: Gold photoGold was a popular color at this fall’s market, from furniture to home accents. The metallic settee is by one of my favorite designers, Kim Salmela. She is a pro at mixing color and pattern. I spotted this beautiful aqua console table with gold lamps and sunburst mirror at  Worlds Away. This marble topped coffee table with a gold frame is from  J. Douglas. Gold pieces can add sophistication to a space without making it too formal.

Moroccan room, Wunderley

Moroccan inspired pieces were huge at this market. I am pining for a rug, similar to this one from Wunderley.

DOGS! DOGS! DOGS! High Point Market TrendAnd last, to my excitement, dog accents were everywhere! Alison has been on to something with her dog decor. I loved the white pugs from ARTERIORS. (Do notice the gold accents.)  Wallpaper is back in style and Thibaut has so many beautiful prints. I was drawn to the “Best Friend” paper. Stacy, the marketing director for Thibaut explained that they wanted this print to be friendly and to remind you of your own dog. I think they got it right. Another favorite show room at market is Go Home. I love their eclectic space, filled to the brim with their goods. They displayed a dog themed bookshelf. Lastly, I came across these Grace & Blake pillows, which instantly reminded me of Alison. Do not be afraid to display your dog decor with pride!

Have you incorporated any of these trends into your space or do you hope to?
