The Makery Launch

Makery NC launch party

In March I posted about three sisters who had an idea for a website to sell arts and crafts handmade in North Carolina, called The Makery. They had a successful Kickstarter campaign and have been working hard on the site ever since. I am excited to report, The Makery launched yesterday! Last Friday night I attended the launch party in downtown Durham’s Mercury Studio. I loved all of the personal touches that made the party special, from the popcorn bar to the “Make North Carolina” map. It was also wonderful to finally meet Krista in person.

The Makery is open!

As soon as I received the email that The Makery had officially launched, I hurried over to checkout the NC goods for sale. Hand selected items will be sold in a flash sale format. I loved all of the featured items, but only allowed myself to purchase Michelle Smith’s North Carolina pillow. (I know it will look great on our bed!)

Join The Makery now so you don’t miss any of the great handmade NC items. I can’t wait to see what they feature next!
