Spring break is over and it’s now back to work, but we had an incredible few days in Chicago. We arrived in Chicago on Wednesday afternoon and headed straight to Big Star for tacos and margaritas. We had many other incredible meals throughout the weekend at Longman & Eagle, Frontera Grill, Girl and the Goat and Piece. It was quite a culinary experience. Between us we tried wild boar, rabbit, goat and the kicker… pig face. To keep us going on Katie’s rigorous schedule we also stopped in at Intelligentsia where we had the most delicious cups of coffee.
In between eating and drinking we were able to see so much of Chicago within a very short time. Friends give Katie a hard time about her planning and scheduling but it really did allow us to make the most of our trip. We took in the sights at Millenium Park and the area near The Art Institute as well as shopping on the Magnificent Mile. We also made a stop in Andersonville to shop famous home decor stores like Scout and Brimfield. They were so much fun, and we felt just like Emily Henderson from Secrets from a Stylist choosing items for her style diagnostics test.
We rounded off the trip celebrating Katie’s birthday with friends. We had such a great time celebrating, shooting a few Twin Stripe features and enjoying Chicago. Thanks again to our lovely hosts, Charlotte and Krista! If you’d like to hear more about our trip or the places we visited, contact us on Facebook or Twitter.
