Some Bunny Loves You

My love affair with bunnies started when I was a little one and I got to meet my aunt and uncle’s rabbit. I loved feeding it carrots and petting its soft little head. I also had framed photo of a rabbit hanging above my bed, which was eventually confiscated because I would take it off the wall and put it on the pillow next to mine. I never had a pet rabbit, but I sure did love Easter because of its association with all things bunnies. Below are a few of my favorites, from DIY Easter bunnies to chocolate rabbits to bunnies for your Easter basket. I’m also sharing a few snaps from my 30th birthday at the end of this post, so be sure to click through.

I love how Emily Henderson styled Target’s adorable bunny candy dishes as beautiful centerpieces for her Easter table. If you are looking for a different way to do up your holiday table, using a different shaped vase, like a candy dish, is a perfect way to change it up. I had to share my glitter bunnies from way back, it is still one of my favorite DIY projects. If you have a sewing machine, I love the look of the DIY mini bunny basket pillows. They are perfect to stuff treats in or to add to your sofa for a hint of spring.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Click through to get a peek at my 30th birthday weekend in Chicago.

I had such a wonderful weekend seeing friends and family in Chicago. I had my first Drybar experience with my girlfriends and I loved it. It’s so fun to be pampered before a night out!

Katie's 30th birthday party in Chicago // Twin Stripe

My 30th birthday party was at Drinking Bird Chicago, a Mad Men-eque cocktail bar. I was in love with my delicious gluten free cake and festive confetti filled balloons from the Flair Exchange. Chad and friends did an amazing job organizing the whole party! Thank you to all of my family and friend who traveled from near and far to celebrate with me! It meant a lot. Tomorrow is my actual birthday and I am sure ready to turn 30!

  2. We still have your bunny picture and I can include it when I mail your gifts to you from this weekend. The cement bunnies are still sitting on the retaining wall next to the driveway. We got the second bunny when we moved into our new house over 27 years ago. You were sad and adjusting to your new house and new bedroom so I put the bunny on the retaining wall outside and you could see him from your bedroom window. He has not hopped away in over 27 years.

What do you think? Katie loves to hear from you!
