Parmesan, Lemon and Thyme Popcorn

A brimming bowl of popcorn is essential to any movie night. This Parmesan, lemon and thyme popcorn recipe is the perfect edition to a movie under the stars. This recipe might sound gourmet, but it is simple to make and pairs well with a glass of crisp white wine.

4 cups of popcorn
1 teaspoon of fresh chopped thyme (or more if you love fresh herbs!)
Juice of 1 lemon
Garlic powder to taste
Several grinds of lemon pepper
2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons Melted butter
Lemon zest

Parmesan, Lemon and Thyme Popcorn // Twin Stripe

Heat thyme in dry pan over low heat to get the flavor going. When fragrant  remove from heat and toss with lemon juice, garlic powder and lemon pepper. When cool, mix in Parmesan cheese. Pop your popcorn–a microwave bag of plain popcorn or stovetop corn will work. Pour melted butter and thyme mixture on the freshly popped corn and toss. Finish with lemon zest.
