Weekend Review – Raleigh

Despite the fact that it was 100 degree this weekend, I took an afternoon trip to Raleigh. If you live in or near Raleigh or are vacationing there this summer, here are a few places that you should not miss.

Furbish StudioMy first stop was Furbish Studio, an interior design mecca. The studio is an extension of Jamie Meares’s blog, I Suwannee. Furbish houses beautiful furniture, awesome home accessories, colorful jewelry and offer interior design services. The mix of patterns and colors on display are mesmerizing, it was hard to decide what to look at first. The vignettes Jamie and her staff create are inspiring, I loved the eclectic combo of the flower wall paper, Asian-inspired lamps and sunburst. I would highly recommend taking a trip to Furbish Studio for decorating inspiration!

Tasty Beverage Company

I also had the chance to visit Tasty Beverage Company on Saturday. It is a great place to cool down in hot weather! There are over 1,200 different types of beer in stock from all over the world, so they have a beer for everyone. It was fun to pick out a few brews to take home. In addition, there is a bar that has six beers on draft. I enjoyed a delicious Modus Hoperandi by Ska Brewing. The bar tenders are friendly and love to talk beer, so stop by after work or on a lazy weekend afternoon.

A few other places we highly recommend:
Cup a Joe
Father and Son Antiques
Contemporary Art Museum Raleigh
Beasley’s Chicken + Honey

Hope you all stayed cool this weekend! Remember to enter to win a beautiful Bison Band. Giveaway closes Friday.
