This weekend I was lucky enough to attend High Point Furniture Market, one of the largest furniture shows in the country. I am a contributor for Linking Triad, a local networking group that focuses on business, culture and technology. At the market, I had the opportunity to interview some amazing bloggers and editors for Linking Triad.
My first interview was with the inspiring Roxy Owens of Society Social and My Cup of Te blog. If you are unfamiliar with Society Social, check out the beautiful cocktail carts and other fun pieces Roxy designs. Chad and I poured over the carts, trying to decide which one we want when we one day own a home. Read my interview with her on Linking Triad. Next, I met with Crystal Gentilello, founder and editor in chief of Rue Magazine. I was a bit starstruck, as Rue has been extremely influential to Alison and myself in the creation of Twin Stripe.
Later in the day, I chatted with Jaime Derringer of Design Milk. She is covering the market on her blog, complete with videos, so be sure to check out her great finds. I then learned all about the interior design tool, Olioboard, from the co-founder, Sheilah MacSporran. Olioboard is a great way to create digital mood boards for interior spaces. I am looking forward to playing with it, but it might have to wait until after graduation, as it sounds rather addicting.
