Decorating with Winter White and Gold

On Wednesday I mentioned the void created by taking my Christmas decorations down outside, but let’s be honest, the hardest part was putting the tree and holiday decor away inside. My house seemed so empty. To combat the winter blues, I have been turning to a cozy combination of winter white and gold. Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite home accessories in this comforting palette.

To add some more life to your space, I highly recommend adding a few house plants. I’m notorious for killing plants after a few months, but Holly of Decor8 recently did a feature on 22 hard to kill house plants. I’m planning on heading to the nursery this weekend to pick up a new plant on this list. How do you fill the void in your home after the holidays?

I must say, I’m so glad it is Friday. It is going to be another low-key weekend. I have a few Valentine’s Day shoots planned and Chad and I are heading to one of our favorite breweries, Fullsteam, for Fellowship of the IPA. Have a great weekend!

  1. The winter white and gold look beautiful and with the weather in St. Louis we need to find ways to get through this cold winter. Making it warm inside is a great start. I am going to get out my mercury votives . They will provide a pop of gold.

What do you think? Katie loves to hear from you!
