A gin and tonic is my favorite classic cocktail. It is simple to make and extremely refreshing.
For the sweet summer supper I co-hosted with Susannah of Feast + West, Asharae of This Wild Season and Julia of Tag & Tibby, I decided to add some local honey and fresh lavender to this classic cocktail for the perfect summer drink.
Kick back this Labor Day weekend with this refreshing drink in hand.
Ingredients
- Ice
- 2 oz Gin (I prefer Tanqueray)
- 2 oz Tonic Water
- 1 oz (or more) Honey Lavender Syrup
- Lemon for garnish
Instructions
- Fill glass with ice.
- Pour gin, tonic water and honey lavender syrup over the ice.
- Stir and add more syrup if necessary.
- Garnish with lemon.
Cheers to the sweet summer supper and Labor Day weekend! Thanks once again to Susannah, Julia, Asharae for being such wonderful collaborators and Leigh Brinkley & Bill Owens for the use of their beautiful home and backyard.
I am so ready for the weekend.
I’ll be working on a lot of fun projects and I cannot wait. I will not be posting on Monday, but check back Tuesday for some fall inspiration. Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
